hopinn opened in mid-February 2014 after a brief refurbishment when Martyn and Ginny rescued the pub from Punch Taverns. The pub was built in 1871, and has a bright and airy front bar, a large lounge at the rear with it's own smaller bar (which is available for hire) and also an outside smoking area to the rear.
Our aim is to provide a good selection of fine ales and a comfortable and relaxed environment in which to enjoy them. Our permanent beers will be from Bass, Oakham and Mallinsons with five other guest ales from a variety of brewers, such as, Magic Rock, Hand Drawn Monkey, Hopcraft, Tiny Rebel, Red Willow, Fyne Ales and Hawkshead to mention but a few. We also have good wine and spirits to choose from and a selection of single malt whiskies.
As a free house our intention is to source the finest beer from micro breweries from all over the country, to enable our customers to enjoy a good beer in a comfortable and friendly environment.
